The download consists of a self-extracting file that contains the OakTree setup program. The download is appoximately 6.5 MB in size and will take between 10 and 90 minutes depending on the speed of your connection to the Internet.
To install: Click on the link below to download OakTree.exe and then run the program by either clicking the 'Open' button on the dialog box that will appear as the file download begins, or by double clicking on the program in Explorer once the download has completed. Remember where you have saved the program so that you can find it again in Explorer.

This is a full, working edition of OakTree but you are limited to only 10 children in the database at any one time. To break the limit you will need to send payment to us and receive a code that you can put in to register OakTree.
To download OakTree click here (OakTree runs on Windows 95, 98, NT4, and 2000).
Installation should be quite straightforward and take only a few minutes. However, you may get the following message at the beginning of installation: 'Setup cannot continue because some system files are out of date on your system. Click OK if you would like setup to update these files for you now. You will need to restart Windows before you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit setup without updating system files'. If this happens then please click OK and allow the files to be updated. After the system has re-booted you will need to run the OakTree.exe program that was previously downloaded.
The only other message you may encounter is where setup is trying to install older system files then those already on your system. If you are prompted regarding this, you should always take the option that allows you to keep the newer files and not overwrite them with older ones from the downloaded installation program. Once installation is complete, you can run OakTree from the 'Start' and then 'Programs' and finally 'OakTree' options from the Start button. If you decide to buy OakTree you have to send a cheque for £233.82 (payable to ActiveCode Ltd) and you will receive an unlock code and instructions on how to use it.
